Last year the deadly Delta wave stole so many lives. For an Indian living overseas – away from home and family – it was the most trying time.

Every morning we woke up to messages of one of the other ‘known’, who had fallen sick or wasn’t doing well. And sometimes of someone who couldn’t sail through.

Of course the suffering was immense, whether near or far. However, living overseas and not being able to have the option to fly back home to family when needed, stirred up a sense of fear, anxiety and immense pain.
