Coming from a household where food was always a big deal, was taking to food a natural thing? “Well, after I moved to Mumbai, there were many parties at home. I loved hosting and everytime I entered the kitchen I tried experimenting and recreating dishes with a slight twist. Everyone loved it. One thing led to another and that’s when my adventure with food began,” says Amrita.
It was her OMG Bacon Jam that took the city by storm. “Whoever tried it, their first reaction was ‘Oh! My God!”
Years later, although there is no more Bacon Jam, Amrita’s ‘OMG Mukhwas’ is gaining popularity across the country. “According to ayurveda, you are what you digest,” she added. “The mukhwas was created keeping this principle in mind.”
Amrita studied ayurveda from Kerala. Realizing how some of the simplest Ayurvedic applications could make a huge difference, she decided to take the science to every household. From cooking workshops to food styling sessions, she came up with workshops about simple lifestyle changes that everyone could easily adapt to and easily apply in their busy lives.

One of her most popular workshops is ‘You don’t have to carry it anymore’. “I make sure that the workshop is built and delivered in a way that it resonates with all age groups.”
When asked about that one thing she would like everyone to remember, “every food you take in, is a love letter to your body,” comes her immediate reply.
